Rome Premature Jibulation – Mt. Hood Skibowl Is it
snowing yet? Is your local mountain open to shred? Neither of
these things matter because the Rome SDS is bringing some early-season
jib fun to your local mountain for the 5th Annual running of
the Premature Jibulation event series. Created for your everyday
local riders who are dying to get on snow. Featuring a jam-session
format that is as much about having fun as it is about winning,
each event will be littered with rails, boxes, barrels and any
other junk we can find that looks fun to ride. There is no entry
fee and the events are open to all riders who want to come out
and shred. So pull your gear out of the closet, mount up your
bindings, pray for snow and be ready to lay down the first session

• Snow Land Opens – Collins Lake Resort Starting
on December 20th, Snow Land will be open! A brand new snow play
area right next to Collins Lake Resort. Small sliding hills,
toys and tools to build and add your own touch to our new village.
Try out the snow maze and do some coloring in the snow! Kiddie
snowmobile track and beginner snowmobile track are available.
Only $5 to come in and play. Snowmobiles have separate fee.

Beginning Blacksmithing – Arts Cabins Learn the art
of blacksmithing from professionals who have created many outstanding
works in the Northwest and the nation. Many hand forged items
are on display in the studio for sale to the public. Talk with
the blacksmiths about any custom architectural features or items
you may need. Class is two hours. $60 per class. Limited to
4 students per day. Classes can be scheduled for 10:00am or
1:00pm. Please pay the blacksmith on arrival, no credit cards.
However, you must register to hold a place by calling 503-272-3301.
10:00am – 4:00pm, or leave a message. You are welcome to
observe the blacksmiths as they work. Students must wear 100%
cotton clothing, and closed toed boots or shoes w/socks.
